In 2017, Gulf Oil has not only expanded its presence in the World Superbike Championship but has also expanded its range of Gulf Syntrac 4T Superbike oils.
Gulf is technical partner to two of SBK’S leading teams: the factory Aprilia Racing team – Milwaukee Aprilia – and BMW’s manufacturer supported squad, Althea BMW Racing.
Last year, Gulf launched the Syntrac 4T Superbike range with a 10W-50 oil which is designed to be optimised to the needs of superbike owners – developed for longer distance, more practical everyday riding on such performance machines. This year Gulf has not only added another team, but, in response to market demands, a new variant of Syntrac 4T Superbike – a 15W-50 grade oil. This means that superbike owners should now have a Gulf Syntrac 4T Superbike product of a viscosity that matches the grade specificed in their owners manuals.
There is also bold new packaging for both variants – the 10-W50 features the Althea BMW and the 15-W50 the Milwaukee Aprilia.
“Gulf is delighted to have doubled its involvement in World Superbikes this year,” explained Gulf Oil International Vice President International, Frank Rutten. “Our move into the sport proved fantasically popular with Gulf businesses and fans alike. This year we have two extremely professional teams as partners; one continues the association we started last year with BMW and the other sees us forge new links with the racing might of Aprilia and the group behind it, Piaggio. Everyone at Gulf wishes Althea BMW and Milwaukee Aprilia success in 2017.
“Motorcycles are a key product sector for Gulf and so I am also delighted that our range of oils is expanding to directly reflect our expanded commitment in the sport.”
